The recommended breathing circuit is as shown in the image and schematic below.

The recommended circuit uses a separate Non-rebreathing Valve placed close to the patient instead of the patient valve attached to the Teleflex BMV. This provides a one-way flow from the LycoVent to the Non-rebreathing Valve, allowing the ventilator to be located a workable distance from the patient without introducing excessive dead space in the breathing circuit.

The make and model of components used and tested during the development of the LycoVent are listed in Specifications: Technical Specifications. These should be used as standard with the LycoVent as any substitution with alternative products may impact performance
