Cover over BMV is open during operation

Continue operation.

Visible alert and high priority tone.

Close cover.

Noisy Operation

Possible causes are

Intake valve near reservoir bag

Squeak from BMV mount

Loose bolts

Worn rod ends

LycoVent will continue operating.

There may be clinical effect such as low TV or low FIO2.

Monitor and attempt to locate source.

If cause cannot be identified or remedied ventilate manually till alternate ventilator available. Consult manufacture.

Screen does not illuminate or respond to inputs

Screen Failure

LycoVent will continue to operate.

Inputs while screen is not functioning may still change settings.

Ventilate manually until ventilator is replaced.

Vent. Stopped

Automated ventilation is selected to stop while connected to patient.

Continue normal operation.

Visible alert on screen and High Priority tone.

No action required if stop was intentional.

Restart the ventilator if stop was not intentional.
