Sensor Failure or EMC interference

LycoVent will continue operation. Ventilation not effected by failure of flow sensor as not used in algorithm.

Low Priority tone

Observe separate oxygen saturation monitor and expired CO2 levels. If acceptable continue ventilation until sensor replaced or alternative ventilator connected. 

MV Hi

Minute volume more than 15% greater than setpoint TVxRR

LycoVent will continue operation. Visible alert on screen 

Low priority tone

Observe patient and adjust parameters as appropriate

TV Exp. Lo

Measured flow from patient is 10% less than inspiratory flow.

Continue normal operation.

Visible alert on screen and Medium Priority tine.

Check for leaks between patient and flow measurement point (after PEEP valve).

TV Insp. Hi

Measured flow to patient exceeds set tidal volume setpoint by 10%.

Continue normal operation.

Visible alert on screen and Medium Priority tone.

Check flow to patient and adjust tidal volumes as required.

TV Not Delivered

Insufficient air is being delivered to the patient.

Continue normal operation.

Visible alert on screen and High Priority tone.

Ensure BMV is positioned correctly in the mounts.

Revert to manual ventilation if required.
